Journey to Al Nyhaya, Siwa Oasis & The Great Sand Sea for 2 persons
Deep inside the Egyptian Western Desert, between the dunes of The Great Sand Sea, lies Al Nyhaya. It is an enlightening hideout in the desert, coming straight out of a fairytale of The 1001 Nights.
On the top of a desert rock formation, a 3 meter hight protective wall curves around a secret green private oasis. There is a 10-meter large swimming pool filled with natural water coming straight out of a subterranean freshwater well.
Al Nyhaya is a place where you can fully regenerate in the silence of the desert and well away from light and air pollution. A place to relax unlike anywhere else in the world!
We organise unique excursions during your stay in this private oasis so you can explore the environment and discover all of the highlights around the Siwa Oasis.
An example of the program of this complete package for 2 persons is as following:
DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO CAIRO – Upon your arrival at the airport you will be picked up by our driver and hit the road. Catch some sleep during the 8hour night journey to the oasis town of Siwa. Upon arrival in Siwa you will get on the 4×4 for the final off-road part of the trip through the desert to Al Nyhaya. A delicious traditional breakfast awaits! For the remaining of the day you will be able to rest from the trip or enjoy the swimming pool, the sunset and the breathtaking night skies. Make sure to explore the surroundings of our camp too, the journey has started!
DAY 2: SIWA OASIS (1/2), SALT LAKES AND NATURAL WELLS – We start the day with a dive in the Salt lakes of Siwa. These lakes have similar healing properties as the Dead Sea, and they keep you floating!
After spending enough time at the lakes we visit Cleopatra springs, Pharaonic temples and the Oracle of Amun. At the end of the the day we visit the lakes of Siwa to see an amazing sunset.
DAY 3: SIWA OASIS (2/2), MOUNTAIN OF THE DEAD / MUSEUM / SHALI FORTRESS – We start with a hike at The Mountain Of The Dead (Jabal Al-Mawta), here you can still find several tombs from ancient Egyptian as well as ancient Roman eras.
Next we head to the Siwa museum and pay a visit to the Shali fortress, completely built from dried clay around 1000 years ago. We end the day with another one of the most beautiful sunsets. After the sun has set, we will head back to the camp for a delicious traditional dinner by the campfire.
DAY 4: ABU SHRUF / BIR WAHED / SAFARI IN THE GREAT SAND SEA – Further along the desert road lies the oasis of Abu Shruf and the village of Zeituna of which it is said the locals have healing powers. Later on we hit the dunes and head to the highly remote desert spring Bir Wahed. On the way back our driver shows what a desert roller coaster is like and we stop at the highest dunes for some sand boarding and traditional tea during sunset in The Great Sand Sea. Back in the resort we dine at the campfire with live traditional Amazigh music.
DAY 5: A DAY OF RELAXING / OPTIONAL LOCAL MASSAGES – After a few days of adventure it’s time for relaxation. You can enjoy the calming energy of the surroundings or try ancient wellness practices like a local oil massage. Or completely unwind at the hot springs for relaxation in nature’s very own jacuzzi.
DAY 6: TRIP BACK TO CAIRO – After breakfast the 4×4 pulls up and we drive back to Siwa town, where the car awaits to head back to Cairo. You will be brought back to a 5-star hotel for a 1 night stay including breakfast before going back home.
DAY 7: GOING BACK HOME – After breakfast you will check out of the hotel and will be brought to the airport for your return flight back home.

An exclusive trip as this is generally custom made. The programs as mentioned above are made up with care and include the most important elements such as transfers, accommodation, food, drinks and the excursions and upon request we can add or edit any part of the journey. Flight tickets are not included.
